A respite stay at Queen Victoria Care offers short-term support in a safe, welcoming community where care, comfort, and connection come first. Whether planned in advance or needed unexpectedly, respite provides both the person receiving care and their carer with time to rest, recover, and feel supported. Residential respite care is short-term care provided in an aged care home, where the care team supports each person according to their individual needs while their usual carer takes a break.

During a respite stay, guests receive 24-hour care, meals, lifestyle activities, and the opportunity to connect with others.
Our focus is always on supporting the whole person, their routines, preferences, independence, and wellbeing, while also supporting carers in their important role.
Guests staying for respite at Queen Victoria Care may also choose to access our Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) offerings.
These optional, non-clinical services are designed to enhance everyday living through hospitality, lifestyle, and wellbeing experiences during a stay. HELF services focus on comfort, choice, and enjoyment, while ensuring each guest continues to receive high-quality care tailored to their needs.
Participation in HELF is entirely optional. Our team can help you understand what options are available and whether they are right for you.
If you would like to learn more about HELF during respite care, please contact our team . We are always happy to help.
