At Queen Victoria Care, our Person-Centred Approach ensures that every individual is seen, heard and valued. We take time to understand each person’s story, preferences, routines and goals, and we work in genuine partnership with residents, families and representatives to shape care that reflects what matters most to them.
We work to map resident experience journeys through our Partnerships Engagement Strategy, reaching out to residents and families to discuss their needs when they choose to live at QVCare. Ensuring the resident experience from the beginning and along the way meets their care and social needs, when they choose to live with us. Our model of care, our welcoming process now reflects the touch points that were highlighted through speaking with residents and families, enriching the connection between residents, families, and staff.
Our Wellness and Reablement Program promotes healthy ageing, with some outstanding stories and results for residents participating in gym and pool activities – this includes individual and group sessions, such as Chair Fun and Fitness. We are incredibly proud that our dedicated Physio Assistant, Therese Best, won the Aged and Community Services Australia Employee of the Year for Tasmania in 2021 and the National Aged and Community Services Australia Employee of the Year for 2021.
Providing clinical care according to the needs of residents is an important part of our services. We are committed to providing safe, quality care according to best practices and evidence-based research. We ensure that our workforce has the skills and competency to conduct the highest level of care for our resident, so they are cared for with dignity and respect.
We ensure that our clinical care services operate according to the highest standards, with state-of-the-art facilities and processes, so that residents and families can have peace of mind knowing they are receiving the best possible care, on their terms.
At Queen Victoria Care, every resident receives high-quality care, meals, services, and lifestyle experiences as part of daily living in our community.
The Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) relates to optional, non-clinical services that enhance comfort, choice, and enjoyment of everyday life. These offerings focus on hospitality, lifestyle, and wellbeing - supporting residents to feel more at home and connected while living at Queen Victoria Care.
Participation in HELF services is entirely optional, allowing residents and families to choose the additional everyday living experiences that matter most to them.
If you would like to learn more about HELF or discuss the available options, please contact our team. We are always happy to help.
