At Queen Victoria Care, innovation is not an aspiration it is part of our everyday practice. As a modern aged-care organisation, we invest in learning, research, and continuous improvement to ensure residents receive the safest, most contemporary, and most compassionate care.
QVC is proud to be a recognised Teaching Aged Care Facility. Many of our nurses and care workers began their careers with us as trainees and have progressed through formal qualifications into senior clinical and leadership roles. We provide structured support, supervision, and real-world learning opportunities for staff at every stage of their development, fostering a workforce that grows, learns and leads with confidence.
Our commitment to learning ensures residents benefit from highly skilled, well-supported professionals who understand best practice and apply it consistently.
We partner with the University of Tasmania, the University of Tasmania Pharmacy School, and other education providers to host medical, nursing, and pharmacy students completing placements in aged care. Students bring fresh thinking, evidence-based practice, and new perspectives that enrich our clinical and lifestyle programs.
These partnerships also ensure QVC remains connected to current research and emerging models of care a vital part of our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, contemporary aged care.
Innovation and learning at QVC are always grounded in one purpose: improving the resident experience. By remaining curious, adaptable, and deeply committed to professional growth, we ensure our residents receive care that is safer, more responsive, and more aligned with their goals and preferences. Our people are our greatest asset. We invest heavily in leadership development, continuing professional education, and hands-on mentoring from senior clinical and operational leaders. This ensures every team member has the confidence, capability, and support needed to uphold the Aged Care Quality Standards and deliver exceptional care.
QVC is proud to be an organisation where ideas flourish, people grow, and learning leads to better lives for the older Tasmanians who call us home.
