Dear Residents, Families and Independent Living Unit Residents

We would like to provide you with an update on the current COVID outbreak situation.

Yesterday Sonic completed testing on all of our residents and we have received results today.
Unfortunately, a further 4 residents have tested positive to COVID, bringing the total number of residents for this outbreak to 10.

The active positive residents reside in the following wings:

• Peter Top East
• Peter Top West
• Lower John Rowland

Due to these results a further full facility test for residents will be held on Saturday 9th April 2022. We expect these results to be returned on Sunday.

The COVID outbreak management team met this morning to discuss the best way forward. At this stage we have made the decision to reopen Victoria Apartments, Ken Stewart, Lord Fraser and Murphy wings to controlled visits.

What does a controlled visit mean:

• Visit needs to be pre booked through reception by calling 62433100
• Visit must occur between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm
• Visitors must undertake a RAT prior to entry - these are supplied
• Visitors must comply with the wearing of N95 masks and eye protection (both supplied) at ALL times whilst in the facility
• Visits limited to two people per resident per day, this may be at the same time or separately
• Visits must occur in the resident's room
• Visitors must comply with all directions provided to them from staff

For visits in the affected wings (Peter Top East, Peter Top West and Lower John Rowland) we will continue to consider exemption visits.

If you are not well we kindly ask that you do not visit.

We understand these extended outbreaks have an impact on the resident's quality of life, we would like to reassure you that we are doing the following:

• Encouraging the residents to put on a mask and ambulate individually in their corridor for light exercise
• Leisure and Lifestyle team are engaging in one on one visits and activities
• COVID outbreak management team continue to review exemption visits
• Assisting residents with technology to remain connected

The management of this outbreak is reviewed each day and as things change.
